Mental and Behavioral Health Detox (DET)

What Does Mental & Behavioral Health Detox  Treatment Offer?

Everyone has different needs when it comes to treating substance use disorder (SUD), a condition that can be diagnosed when your pattern of drug or alcohol use is problematic and causes significant distress. Some people with SUD become dependent and have withdrawal symptoms when they suddenly stop using. The effects of withdrawal on your body and mind can be uncomfortable and dangerous. That’s where detox comes in.

A Detox program gives you support to guide you through the withdrawal. Your symptoms may last a week or more. You’re more likely to stick with a detox program when you have lots of help.

MIHS Detox Programs Offer:

An intake exam and evaluation. You may get blood work, talk about your health and substance use history, and have tests to check your physical and mental health.

Detox support may include medicine for withdrawal symptoms and care for other issues that come up. The goal is to help you get mentally and physically stable.

Help to get into treatment so you can learn to break your addiction.

Drug Addiction is a Disease:

People addicted to drugs are twice as likely to suffer from mood and
anxiety disorders, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse.

Nearly 8.4 million adults in the U.S. have both a mental and
substance use disorder, according to the 2012.

People with severe mental illness are about 4 times more likely to
be heavy alcohol users. They are also over 5 times more likely to be
daily tobacco smokers.
